Israel’s Justice Minister announced on Monday that the plan to cancel US entry visa requirements for Israeli citizens is nearing completion, local media have reported. Ayelet Shaked said that there is an agreement to be implemented soon, which will include permission for the US authorities to access Israel’s biometric fingerprint database.
“[We are] completing the agreement to cancel the visas,” Shaked tweeted. “Since I began my post, we have been working with the Americans in order to join the select group of countries whose citizens are exempt from obtaining an entry visa to the US.” She added that a balance has been found between maintaining the privacy of Israeli citizens and the American demands.
According to one Israeli news website, such an agreement can only be authorised after the Biometric Database Law is amended by the Knesset (parliament). It pointed out that with the existing law, Israeli citizens’ private information cannot be relayed to foreign authorities unless a criminal investigation is involved and, in that case, they may only be given the details temporarily.
Shaked explained that the understanding includes sharing fingerprint databases only in the case of people with a criminal background. This would resolve the Israeli privacy objections to the visa proposal.

President Donald Trump’s pledge to support the State of Israel boosted his election victory, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said.
Speaking at the Zionist Organization of America’s annual gala in New York yesterday, Bannon said that Trump was the staunchest supporter of Israel since President Ronald Regan. Bannon mentioned the boost Trump had gained by pledging his loyalty to Israel through his promise to relocate the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
According to Bannon, Trump’s campaign had refined a clear message:
“Destroy the physical Caliphate of ISIS [Daesh], designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation, decertify the Iran deal, and move the embassy to Jerusalem.”
That message, said Bannon, had enabled Trump to recover from a 16 point deficit and gain significant ground on Hillary Clinton. He informed the 1,000 plus audience that he and his team had gained “100% degree of metaphysical certitude” that Trump, with his assertive pro-Israeli message was going to win.

Bannon also mentioned that Trump would not have succeeded in his election bid without the support of American Jewish billionaire and Republican donor, Sheldon Adelson.

In addition to being the owner of an Israeli daily newspaper, Adelson is thought to be the donor behind a network of tax-exempt entities in the US which are financing activities in the West Bank that violate international laws. He was the target of a lawsuit by Palestinians for supporting war crimes.

Alfred Ploetz (August 22, 1860 – March 20, 1940) was a German physician, biologist, eugenicist known for coining the term ‘Rassenhygiene’ (racial hygiene), and promoting the concept in Germany. ‘Rassenhygiene’ is a form of eugenics. Ploetz first proposed the theory of racial hygiene (race-based eugenics) in his “Racial Hygiene Basics” (Grundlinien einer Rassenhygiene) in 1895.
In 1904 Ploetz founded the periodical “Archiv für Rassen-und Gesellschaftsbiologie” with Fritz Lenz as chief editor, and in 1905 the German Society for Racial Hygiene (De Berliner Gesellschaft fur Rassenhygiene) with 31 members. page In 1907 the society became the “International Society for Racial Hygiene”.

In 1936, Hitler appointed Ploetz to a professorship.
In 1937 Ploetz joined the National Socialist Party.

Donald Trump has been accused of believing in the “racehorse theory” of genetics, which claims some people are genetically superior to others.

More than a half-century ago, the folk singer Woody Guthrie signed a lease in an apartment complex in Brooklyn. He soon had bitter words for his landlord: Donald J. Trump’s father, Fred C. Trump.
Mr. Guthrie, in writings uncovered by a scholar working on a book, invoked “Old Man Trump” while suggesting that blacks were unwelcome as tenants in the Trump apartment complex, near Coney Island.
“He thought that Fred Trump was one who stirs up racial hate, and implicitly profits from it,”
the scholar, Will Kaufman, a professor of American literature and culture at the University of Central Lancashire in Britain, said in an interview.
Mr. Kaufman said he came across Mr. Guthrie’s writings about Fred Trump while he was doing research at the Woody Guthrie Center’s archives in Oklahoma. He wrote about his findings last week for The Conversation, a news website.
In December 1950, Mr. Guthrie signed a lease at the Beach Haven apartment complex, Mr. Kaufman wrote in his piece.
Soon, Mr. Guthrie was “lamenting the bigotry that pervaded his new, lily-white neighborhood,” he wrote, with words like these:

“Woody was always championing those who didn’t have a voice, who didn’t have any money, who didn’t have any power,” Mr. Kaufman said. “There’s no doubt that he would have had maximum contempt for Donald Trump, even without the issue of race.”
